Corvina Red Wines

Corvina is a red grape variety characteristic of the province of Verona , particularly of Valpolicella and the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Corvina is used in the DOC Valpolicella , Garda and Bardolino and in the DOCG Bardolino Superiore .

There is not much certain information about the history of the Corvina vine. It is almost certainly a very ancient vine , since it is closely linked to Veronese viticulture and is the main vine from which the historic and most important wines of the area are obtained.
