Cognac

Cognac is a French spirit protected by an Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) , obtained from the distillation of white wine .

The grapes used come from the main permitted white vines, namely Ugni blanc , F olle Blanche , C olombard and some other minor ones such as S émillon and Montils . The Ugni Blanc It occupies 98% of the vineyard surface and is the main vine. It is suitable for its ability to resist disease, to have a low sugar content and to contain acids. This allows to obtain a base wine low in alcohol and with good acidity.

Cognac is known for its complexity of aromas and its aging in wooden barrels, which gives it depth and character. It is a drink appreciated for its unique flavor and its centuries-old tradition.
