Red Grenache Wines

Grenache , also known as Garnacha , is a red grape variety grown extensively in France, its country of origin, but also in Spain, where it is known as Garnacha, Australia and the United States. This grape variety has adapted to various Mediterranean regions, giving rise to interesting territorial varieties.

Grenache has Spanish origins, but has become widely distributed in France. In Spain, it is known as Garnacha , while in France it is grown in the Southern Rhone Valley .

It is known by other local names including Alicante in the south of Spain, Cannonau in Sardinia and Tocai red from the Berici Hills .

Grenache is very versatile and can be used to produce a wide range of wines.
