    Pecorino is a white grape variety native to the Marche region , which has always been cultivated in the Sibillini Mountains .

    The origin of this vine has been the subject of debates and conferences at a local level since the 2000s. Its cultivation has been widely documented since the second half of the nineteenth century and it is generally considered an ancient variety native to the Sibillini Mountains area.
