Denomination: Bolgheri Rosso DOC

Notes : Notes of red fruits, with hints of blackcurrant and blackberry, sweet spices and roasted coffee. On the palate it is full-bodied, round, with a nice fruity aftertaste on the finish. Excellent persistence.

Vinification & Aging: Upon arrival at the cellar, the selected grapes were destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation and maceration took place in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks for a period of approximately 10-15 days at a temperature of 28-30 °C. Part of the Merlot and Syrah musts were maintained at lower fermentation temperatures to better preserve the varietal aromas. Malolactic fermentation took place partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks, and was completed by the end of the year for all varieties. The Cabernet Sauvignon was then joined by the Merlot, Syrah, and small quantities of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot: the resulting wine met the barrique again, where it rested before being bottled.
