Gin is one of the most used spirits in the preparation of cocktails, thanks to its versatility and its strong aroma. Gin is obtained by distilling grain alcohol flavored with juniper berries and other spices or herbs, which vary depending on the producer and style.

There are several types of gin, including London Dry Gin, the most popular and driest, Plymouth Gin, softer and sweeter, Old Tom Gin, slightly sweetened, Genever or Jenever, the oldest and originally from Holland and Belgium, Sloe Gin, made from wild sloes macerated in gin, and New Western Dry Gin, the most innovative and creative, which enhances botanical aromas in addition to juniper.

Gin cocktails are many and varied, both classic and modern, both simple and elaborate. In this article we offer you six recipes for gin cocktails that you should absolutely know, both for their history and for their flavor.
