Notes : A seductive wine right from the nose with distinct notes of blackberry, currant, coffee and vanilla. In the mouth it has great structure but also harmonious and elegant thanks to the freshness given by the Sangioveto. A wine of great persistence.
On the hill of San Germano, vines were already cultivated 3,000 years ago by the Etruscans. A thousand-year history that has allowed plants to self-select by developing, in a natural way, defenses against climatic and biological adversities, and therefore to obtain healthier grapes of excellent quality. It is born from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small part of Sangioveto.
Vinification & Aging : vinification in steel, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Aging for 24 months in 70% new barriques and 30% in used barriques, followed by 11 months of bottle aging.
Pairings: It goes well with red meats, roasts, game and mature cheeses.
