Note : 2009 vintage for this representative peated whisky from Tobermory Distillery, founded in 1798 and the only distillery on the Isle of Mull and one of the oldest in Scotland.

The distillery uses water from the Tobermory River, which contains peat phenols that give the whisky a phenolic character. Aged for 13 years in an ex-Bourbon cask, it is an expression of strength and balance between peaty and salty. Only 193 bottles produced.

On the nose it is sweetly smoky with aromas of dried fruit and medicinal herbs. There are marine scents. On the palate it is majestic, its mineral attack then gives way to fruity aromas of pear and honey. Excellent persistence in the mouth, with a clean and savory finish.
