Colon has a style delicate and fruity with a light, dry finish. The addition of Jamaican rum distilled in pot still brings an earthy atmosphere and warm aroma to the blend.
In 1892, the government decided that the Salvadoran peso should be called the "Colón", in homage to Christopher Columbus.
