Notes : The nose immediately reveals the importance of this superb wine, with notes of ripe plum, berries, blackberry, cherry, vanilla and a light spiciness, which brings fullness and richness. On the palate it is harmonious, fresh and fruity. Great structure, intensity and persistence in the mouth. The passage in wood gives the wine softness, respecting its pleasant tannicity.
Vinification & Aging: Susumaniello is a native red grape variety from Brindisi. Its dome comes from the fact that its plants tend to be very productive and therefore to be loaded with bunches, just like a "donkey". This wine is produced with pure Susumaniello masterfully worked. In fact, it ages the first 10 months in steel and the following in French oak barrels.
Pairings: Excellent with important first courses, such as lasagna and pasta with ragù, grilled meat and mature cheeses.
