Notes : Complex and broad on the nose, with pleasant sensations of rose petals, red fruit and hints of spices. The taste is full, very well balanced, with elegant, silky and sweet tannins. The finish is persistent and rich. From the splendid amphitheatre vineyard in the Bussia area of Monforte d'Alba. A historic wine, produced for the first time in selection by Prunotto in 1961.
Vinification & Aging: The grapes selected upon arrival at the cellar were destemmed and pressed. Maceration lasted approximately 8-10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 °C. Malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. The wine was then aged in oak barrels of different capacities for at least 18 months.
Pairings : Perfect with grilled meat.
