Name: Bolgheri Superior DOC

Notes : Mediterranean scrub aromas, juniper and laurel stand out. Notes of cherry and licorice. Extremely elegant taste, with silky and balanced tannins.

Vinification & Aging: The grapes were hand-picked and, after careful selection, berry by berry, a soft pressing and cold pre-maceration were performed, followed by the start of alcoholic fermentation. The wine was then transferred to new French oak barriques, where it completed malolactic fermentation and matured for 18 months. At the end of the aging and after careful tasting, the best barriques were selected and combined to give life to Matarocchio. The wine then rested for over a year in the bottle before being released onto the market.
