Vinification & Ageing: Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé was inspired by Maison Perrier-Jouët’s prestige Blason de France cuvées, introduced in 1955 and served in some of the world’s finest restaurants. Although delicious on its own, this subtle and sophisticated rosé champagne was created with food in mind, offering generous and complex flavours that can accompany a meal from starter to dessert. For Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, cellar master Hervé Deschamps selects wines from around 50 different crus, which he blends in intricate and masterful harmony. The floral nuances of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs are balanced by the fullness of Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne. However, it is the Pinot Noir grapes from the northern Montagne de Reims that provide the strength and structure that are ideal for pairing with food. The Pinot Noir grape variety is characterized by its red skin and white juice. Of the Pinot Noir contained in Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, a small part (10-15%) is made up of red wines, obtained by macerating the grapes on the skin, which give this gourmet champagne its characteristic salmon pink hue.
Pairings : To be paired with salmon and amberjack tartare, raw seafood, grilled vegetables.
