Note : Guidalberto is an elegant and intense wine, it can also be defined as the "little brother" of Sassicaia, certainly not for its quality but for a different drinkability. Guidalberto preserves the tradition of Tenuta San Guido and owes its name to the quadrisonno of Niccolò della Gherardesca.

It is a young wine with aromas that recall the Tuscan scrub and berries. The taste is decisive, incredibly powerful and with an important presence of live tannins that make it persistent.

Vinification & Aging: following the harvest, which is entirely done manually, the grapes are sorted, with a subsequent selection upon arrival at the cellar. This is followed by soft pressing and destemming of the grapes. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 27-29° without any addition of external yeasts. Different macerations for the types of grapes: Merlot 12-14 days, Cabernet Sauvignon 13-16 days. Frequent pumping over to balance the tannins. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, then the musts are put into barriques for aging for 15 months.

Pairings : It is excellent to pair with game and red meat dishes.
