Notes : The nose shows typical notes of Sangiovese, such as ripe cherry, sweet black cherry, and small red fruits, accompanied by fresh sensations of ripe citrus and pleasant hints of coffee. On the palate it is characterful, elegant, with a good tannic structure typical of the variety and an aftertaste characterized by hints of vanilla and coffee.

La Braccesca extends over 508 hectares where once stood the ancient farm of the Bracci counts, from which the name of the estate and its coat of arms derive: an arm covered in armor holding a sword. The total surface area of the vineyards is 340 hectares divided into two bodies: the first, of 366 hectares of which 237 are planted with vineyards, is located on the border between the municipalities of Montepulciano and Cortona.

Vinification & Aging: The best Sangiovese grapes, coming from a selection of the vineyards of the Maggiarino estate, one of the most suitable areas of La Braccesca, underwent a vinification process aimed at preserving the aromas and enhancing the structure. After destemming and a soft pressing, the grapes were transferred to stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 28 °C; at the end of the maceration, which lasted for about 20 days, the wine was transferred to tonneaux, where the malolactic fermentation took place and the refinement process began, lasting about 12 months. Following bottling, which took place in the spring of 2019, the wine rested in the bottle for at least a year before being released onto the market.

Pairings : Perfect pairing with red meat dishes, roasts, cold cuts and cheeses.
