Champagne - Cote des Blancs

The Côte des Blancs is located about 40 minutes from Paris , to the east. It extends for about 20 km and has about 34,000 hectares of vineyards , divided into 319 communes and villages. It is an area mainly facing east with chalky soils. This area owes its name to the color of the grapes grown there: 95% Chardonnay .
