Rocca di Frassinello is located in Giuncarico , in the province of Grosseto , the heart of the Maremma Toscana. Its position is strategic; in fact, it stands on a hill on the edge of the old Aurelia, whose site forms a sort of canyon into which the sea wind from the sea enters, a constant breeze that removes any humidity and further mitigates the climate both in winter and summer. From the top of that hill you can see the sea beyond Marina di Grosseto up to the Parco dell'Uccellina.
In its almost 90 hectares of vineyards, Rocca di Frassinello hosts both Italian grape varieties - Sangioveto and Vermentino - and international grape varieties - Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz . The wines of Rocca di Frassinello are all blends with the exception of Baffonero which is 100% Merlot.
The Rocca di Frassinello estate is a jewel in the crown not only for its wines but also for its avant-garde architecture. Its construction was one of the masterpieces of Renzo Piano who conceived the project of an essential cellar enhancing its functionality.
