Red Wines Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon , also known as Cabernet Sauvignon, is a black grape variety native to the Gironde region , in the Médoc and Graves-Saint-Amant areas, and is undoubtedly the most versatile variety in the world for the production of high quality, long-lived wines.

Its origins are uncertain, but genetic tests have shown that it is a cross between Cabernet Franc (red grape variety) and Sauvignon Blanc (white grape variety).

Cabernet Sauvignon is often used in blends with Cabernet Franc and Merlot, creating the well-known “Bordeaux blend ”.

In Italy, there are many versions of Cabernet Sauvignon, both pure and in combination with other red vines. In fact, it has great capacity to adapt to different climatic conditions and winemaking techniques, maintaining its recognizable characteristics and perfectly expressing the terroir . It is able to produce wines with intense color, rich in tannins and aromatic substances , capable of long aging .
